Please note that the language of instruction in courses of study at the Faculty of Sport Science is mainly German. In turn, most of our classes are currently taught in German language as well. To give you an impression of modules that include classes in sport psychology, we've listed a translation of the module titles. Note however, that the titles of classes and courses of study are given in their language of instruction.

Interdisciplinary key skills (SQ)

This module is a voluntary unit, and is open to all Leipzig University students who not enrolled in a course of study in sport science. These classes provide insights in the psychological basics of physical activity and sedentary behaviour. Students learn how these two activity patterns develop during the human lifespan. In practice-oriented tutorials we explore both the health-promoting aspects of physical activity and the risks of sedentary behaviour.

  • Physical activity and sedentary behaviour in the course of life (SQ module)
    Seminars with practice units
Courses of study: all, except those offered by the Faculty of Sport Science

International Coaching Courses (ITK)

This programme is a postgraduate study course for coaches and physical education teachers from developing countries (as defined by the DAC List of ODA Recipients). We contribute to this course by offering classes on sport psychology that we instruct in English (and with the support of interpreters also in Spanish, Arabic and French).
