Abstract
Dr. Thomas Wendeborn (born as Borchert) holds the professorship for empirical educational research in sport at the University of Leipzig. From a human-scientific perspective, questions of the human-technology relation are examined, whereby digital techniques are used to investigate and shape this relation in order to basically grasp the appearance and potential of the human being in its range and diversity. This primarily relates to digital teaching and learning in sports and physical education. The focus is on the development of teaching and learning platforms based on learning management systems as well as freely available teaching and learning materials (open education resources) for the training and further education of sports teachers.
