Abstract

Dr. Oliver Leis is a post-doctoral research assistant in the Department of Sport Psychology within the Faculty of Sport Science at Leipzig University, Germany. His research centers around stress, coping, and applied sport psychology within performance domains, with a particular emphasis on esports. Dr. Leis serves as the Ombudsperson for the Esports Research Network, and is involved in developing a European joint master's degree focused on education and employability for the esports industry, funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme. Recognizing his dedication to research, Dr. Leis was honored with the Junior Award for Outstanding Commitment to Research by Leipzig University in 2023. Currently, he is also pursuing accreditation as an applied sports psychologist, aiming to blend research expertise with practical application.
