Join our team for your compulsory internship, and we guarantee that you will gain insights and work experience in the exciting field of sport psychology research.
As our internships focus on research, we can only offer insights into applied sport psychology on an occasional basis. Follow this link to get an overview of our current research topics.
We offer internships each semester. Our formal criteria for an internship are:
- If you want to apply for an internship at the Chair of Sport Psychology, you have to be a student enrolled in a university.
- Your internship must be a compulsory component of your school or university's examination regulations.
- Unfortunately, we do not offer voluntary internships (i.e., non-compulsory internships).
- Requests for pre-study internships (i.e., pre-enrollment requirement for university admission) will be decided on a case-by-case basis in consultation with our university administration.
- The minimum duration of an internship at the Chair of Sport Psychology is six weeks.
- To apply for an internship, please respect the following application deadlines:
If your internship is to take place between January and June, please apply until 15 September of the previous year; if your internship is to take place between July and December, please apply until 3 March of the same year.
Here's how to apply for an internship
You would like to become an intern with us? Then please send us the following documents in order to apply:
- Motivation letter: Tell us why you want to do your internship with us and what research topics you're interested in. Please also send us dates, i.e., your availability for the internship.
- your curriculum vitae
- copy of your latest academic transcripts
- study program schedule highlighting that the internship is mandatory
- Please hand in a PDF reference list (according to APA 7th style) containing three relevant and up-to-date research publications regarding one of our research topics.
